See if your supplementary insurance covers acupuncture. Look in your policy conditions for "acupuncture" or "alternative medicine".

Book an appointment

Book your treatment. Lily is registered with Zhong NVTCG & S.C.A.G, the certifications your insurer requires for reimbursement.

Claim your treatment

After your treatment, send the invoice to your insurer. Tianyi provides a correct invoice with AGB code.

Most major Dutch insurers cover acupuncture when treated by a registered therapist. Below is an overview.

Foundation for Chinese Acupuncture and Medicine. A second recognised professional association, widely accepted by Dutch health insurers.

Lily is a member of both professional associations. This guarantees that your treatment meets the quality requirements of your insurer.

Smart planning

Tip: Use your healthcare budget before 31 December

Do you have unused budget on your supplementary insurance? This budget expires on 31 December. Many patients plan extra treatments in November and December to make full use of their budget. Plan ahead — Lily's diary fills quickly.

Frequently asked questions about insurance

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No, you do not need a referral. You can book an appointment directly at Tianyi Health Center.

Which treatments are covered?

Acupuncture is the most commonly covered treatment. Cupping and Tuina massage are also covered by some insurers under alternative medicine. Check your policy.

How do I claim my treatment?

After each treatment you will receive an invoice with AGB code. You can upload this invoice via your insurer's app or website, or send it by post.

What if my insurer does not cover the treatment?

You then pay the regular rate.

Can I visit Tianyi with only a basic insurance plan?

Yes, but acupuncture is only covered via supplementary insurance. With only basic insurance you pay the full rate.
